Myles Borne Retains North American Title In Rematch On WWE NXT
Myles Borne defended his North American Championship in an impromptu rematch with Ethan Page on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. Tuesday night’s show saw Borne come out to the ring to open the show, cutting a promo about his title win over Page that closed last week’s episode.
Borne talked about how he wanted to thank his biggest hater in Page, and how Page said he lacked killer instint but unleashed a demon in doing so. He said he’s no angel and will do what he needs to in order to defend his title.
Page then came out and said that if not for him, Borne would still be meek and not champion. He accused Borne of getting lucky and said that Borne had a good night. He ran down his accolades and said he deserves a rematch.
Borne said he would talk to Robert Stone and Page said he wanted his rematch tonight. Stone then came out and sanctioned the match.
The match went back and forth, but Borne was able to pick up the win. Page used his belt buckle for a two-count at the end and Borne was able to turn it around for an anklelock. Page kicked him off but lost his pants in the process. As the ref sorted things out, Borne hit Page with his shoe and hit Borne Again for the win.
