Natalya Shares Happiness With ‘Breakout’ Performance by Maxxine Dupri Against Becky Lynch on WWE Raw

Maxxine Dupri picked up a rare win last Monday on WWE Raw, beating reigning Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch by count out. Fellow WWE Superstar Natalya was more than impressed by Maxxine Dupri’s “breakout” performance against Becky Lynch, praising her week this week on Busted Open Radio. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):

Natalya on how hard Maxxine Dupri trains: “She goes to Flatbacks [Wrestling School] and trains, she goes to the Performance Center and trains, she takes advantage of every single Dungeon practice that she can go to, and then, even when she’s at the shows, on Monday, she’ll be at Monday Night Raw and she’ll be in the ring training prior to the shows. I told her, I said ‘None of it means anything, none of it means anything if you can’t back it up when the bell rings,’ because…personally I’ve witnessed this with people throughout the years, that some people do amazing in practice.”

On how happy she was with Maxxine’s performance against Becky Lynch: “But then when the bell rings, they let all these different things get in their head. And it’s nerve wracking. Performing in front of millions and millions of people around the world, it’s very, very nerve wracking. But when that bell rang on Monday, she was dialed in, and she was ready to fight. And you could see, to me, I think she shocked the **** out of Becky Lynch. And it made my heart so happy because I don’t think anybody was expecting her to perform at that level, including Becky.”

Natalya and Dupri teamed together and picked up a win on WWE Main Event earlier this year. Maxxine Dupri previously lost against Becky Lynch in an Intercontinental Title bout on the August 11 edition of WWE Raw. The title was not on the line for their rematch on last Monday’s show.
