Nia Jax Reflects on Why She Needed Her Weight Loss Journey, Responds To CM Punk’s Comments to Roman Reigns

During a recent interview with the Beyond the Bell podcast, WWE Superstar and Women’s Tag Team Champion, Nia Jax, discussed her recent weight loss journey, explaining why she needed it and how it got her to where she is now. She also addressed CM Punk’s recent controversial statements to Roman Reigns on WWE Raw, with Punk saying he’d bury Reigns next to his father. Below are some highlights:

“I appreciate that. It’s funny cuz I like you don’t realize, like especially cuz people who have been on similar journeys like I didn’t realize how big I was getting. And it’s so funny because that weekend in Nashville, I was with my best friend, and she took a picture or a video of me with her daughter, and she sent it to me, and I looked at it and I said I like who is that? Who’s that? I had to like screenshot it and zoom in and be like oh my goodness. So it was a it was a really like it was a good awakening. It was something I needed. So it’s brought me to this point now.”

Her Thoughts on CM Punk Saying He’d Bury Roman Reigns Next To His Father

“I think small men bark loud. And so, you know, in that moment right there, he was probably feeling a little confident, and it’s funny cuz you see him walk away right after he says that line. So I would like that doesn’t bother me because I know what my family is physically capable of. We’ve shown it over the last three decades what our family is capable of in the Samoan dynasty. So that’s fine. He can speak all he wants. But when it comes down to it, exactly the person who’s going to be reigning over Phil will be none other than the OTC.”

Reigns and Jax are cousins. At WrestleMania 42, Roman Reigns and CM Punk will face off for the World Heavyweight Title.
