Note On Jay White’s AEW Contract Status

A new report has a bit of detail on Jay White’s contract status with AEW. White has been out of action since March, when he suffered an injury to his hand. He hasn’t appeared since then and a fan question in the latest Fightful Select Q&A asked about when White’s contract might be up.

According to the report, White’s deal is “nowhere near up.” When White signed on in April of 2023, the deal was said to be a long-term one. In addition, he is likely to have the injury time — which, of course, is now going on a year — added to his contract. The report estimates “conservatively” that White will be under contract until next year at the earliest.

White is still out of action and there’s no word on when he may be able to return. In his absence, Austin Gunn & Juice Robinson have been keeping the Bang Bang Gang going and challenged FTR for the World Tag Team Championships at AEW Worlds End in December. FTR retained the titles in the match.

White’s last bout was on the March 29th, 2025 episode of AEW Collision. He defeated Kevin Knight. On behalf of 411, our best wishes to White as he continues his recovery.
