Note On AAA Wrestlers In AEW: El Australiano Came In On His Own, Aramis Almost Signed

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that El Australiano, who recently made an appearance on AEW Dark, came in on his own to work for the company. He normally competes as Australian Suicide in AAA and is still with them. He had been in Puerto Rico with his girlfriend Vanilla Vargas, who gave birth on January 11. When he showed up to AEW, he was recommended by Jack Evans and Angelico.

It was also noted that Aramis almost signed with AEW and was brought in to meet everybody when they had tapings in Indianapolis. But the pandemic hit and everything was put on hold, as they couldn’t bring in wrestlers from Mexico at the time. The problem now is that the roster is now full. Aramis was initially offered a five-date contract and they would have worked on a visa, but things changed and acquiring visas became more difficult. This is why a lot of foreign WWE talent from overseas were kept from coming over until recently. As for Aramis, he’s currently been working on finishing college.
