Former WWE Superstar Ridge Holland has been in the news lately. The English pro wrestler announced last month that WWE won’t be renewing his deal once it expires in mid-November.

However, his contract was terminated earlier this month following his outburst on social media. Holland had sustained an injury during a TNA taping in September, and as he revealed later, the former NXT talent is also nursing a neck injury. In one of his social media posts, Holland said that he felt “hung out to dry” after being injured while working for another promotion. This has been widely speculated as the reason why WWE opted to terminate his contract.

In the latest edition of Fightful’s Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp provided more clarity on the situation. The wrestling insider revealed that Ridge Holland sustained his injury in late September and was informed about his departure on October 13. However, his contract was terminated on November 4 for violating a key WWE rule that bars signed talents from disparaging the company.

However, Sapp clarified that WWE will continue to cover Holland’s rehabilitation, and he’s been doing that at the Performance Center. He also noted that the company would get sued if it didn’t cover the rehabilitation cost.
