Omos On How He Found Out He Was Competing At AAA TripleMania XXXIII

Omos won the Copa Bardahl Cibernetico battle royal at AAA TripleMania XXXIII, and he recently revealed how it came about. The WWE star was a surprise entrant in the match, and he spoke with Malik Kelly for a new interview in which he was asked about how he found out about the appearance.

“That happened,” Omos said (h/t to Fightful). “I was just backstage. I’m like, ‘Sure.’ I didn’t even know it was a battle royal. It was just, ‘Hey, we have something going on at Triple A. You want (to go?). ‘Sure.’ Next call, I’m in Mexico City.”

He continued, “I didn’t really get much experience to travel a lot outside of the US. Once I got my immigration stuff settled and situated, I’m like, ‘I’m going to travel now.’ Any time I can travel and leave the country, sign me up.”

Omos has not been on WWE TV since April of last year, and his match at TripleMania was his first since his excursion to Pro Wrestling NOAH ended in January.
