Paul Wight has been getting some weight off, sharing a new pic and noting that he’s down to under 400 pounds. The AEW star posted to his Twitter account to share a pic showing off his body. He noted that he is down to 393 pounds with more left on his goal.
Wight wrote with the pic:
“Currently 393lbs. Shooting for 360lbs. Thank you to everyone that’s supported me over the years.”
Wight has been signed to AEW since 2021 after he exited WWE. He has competed in the ring since January of 2024, when he worked a match on that year’s Chris Jericho’s Rock & Wrestling Rager At Sea. Wight teamed with Jericho and Mike Bailey to defeat Lance Archer, Kyle Fletcher, and Powerhouse Hobbs.
His last match in AEW was as part of an eight-man tag team Street Fight on the November 15th, 2023 episode of Dynamite. He said in December of last year that he had a small back operation and is hoping to get back in the ring at some point. He said at the time:
“I see the opportunity in AEW, I see the chances too. To have fun with the talent in the back, to entertain the fans, the financial gains for being able to compete at a more full-time schedule. Yeah, believe me, I’m salivating over here, 100 percent.”
