Rhea Ripley has come a long way since making her WWE debut during the summer of 2017. The Australian is a four-time World Champion and the reigning WWE Women’s Champion. She is a former Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber winner, among other accolades.
However, there was a time in her career when Ripley admittedly wasn’t confident and comfortable in her skin and wanted to please everyone just to fit in. As noted previously, Rhea Ripley recently spoke to Omar Raja of ESPN, where she relived the milestone moments of her career, including her WWE debut nearly nine years ago.
When Omar asked if Rhea felt she was ready when she made her WWE debut nearly nine years ago, Ripley said that from a wrestling point of view, she was ready, but mentally, she wasn’t.
“I think wrestling-wise I was ready; mentally-wise, I wasn’t. Just because I wasn’t confident and comfortable in my own skin. I was still trying to please everyone and fit the mold that everyone wanted me to fit. So that was, I don’t think I was ready. But also, it’s the start of my story, and we all have to grow from somewhere, and that’s just where I grew from,” she said. You can watch her comment below.
