Ricky Saints Says TNA-NXT Brawl On Tuesday’s Episode Had Nothing To Do With Him

While there was a brawl between the NXT and TNA rosters on Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT, Ricky Saints ignored it. Instead, he went for the NXT title, which was sitting ringside. This led to a face off with Oba Femi, the champion. In an interview with Going Ringside (via Fightful), Saints explained why he didn’t get involved with the TNA wrestlers.

He said: “I saw the NXT Championship amidst all of this chaos between TNA and NXT. Listen, they’re fighting, they had nothing to do with me, I saw an opportunity and I went for it. I’m good at being zoned in. I can do [that] a lot and lock in on something. That’s what I did, I went for that title because that’s ultimately what I feel like is going to be mine. Oba had other ideas of course, it is what it is but I’m glad that I was able to walk through the minefield and get to where I wanted to get to, which was the NXT Championship on that podium.“
