STARDOM Founder Rossy Ogawa Announces New Promotion Called Marigold
Back in February, Bushiroad cancelled the contract of STARDOM founder Rossy Ogawa, claiming that he ‘poached many STARDOM wrestlers and staff.’ Since then, several performers left or will leave STARDOM. Today, Ogawa has announced that he is starting a new promotion called Marigold, which was the rumor when talents left. The promotion’s full name is DREAM STAR FIGHTING Marigold.
Ogawa made the announcement at a press conference, which revealed seven wrestlers that will be on the shows. They include Giulia, Utami Hayashishita, Mai Sakurai, MIRAI, Yuzuki (who will now be Victoria Yuzuki), Nanae Takahashi and Nao Ishikawa. The first five names are from STARDOM. Yuzuki challenged Takahashi to a match at the first event.
As for when that first event happens, that will be ‘Marigold Fields Forever’ on May 20 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. It will stream on WRESTLE UNIVERSE with both English and Japanese commentary. Giulia will team up with a mystery partner to go against Sareee and a mystery partner. You can find the Marigold Grand Opening Wars tour dates below:
