Roxanne Perez Still Wants To Get AJ Lee To Return To WWE

Roxanne Perez says that she’s trying to get AJ Lee to make a return to WWE. Perez has spoken about her desire to have Lee return to the ring in WWE for a match in the past, and she was asked by the PWI Podcast if she’s spoken to CM Punk about trying to get Lee to return to the company.

“Definitely, yeah,” Perez said (per Wrestling Inc). “I try [to get Punk to tell AJ to come back to WWE], but he tells me that he’s doing the same thing. He’s trying to get her to come back, pulling her in, but I hope one day she decides to come back and have a match with me.”

Lee retired from the ring in 2015 due in part to injuries to her spine. Since then she has worked as a producer for WOW – Women of Wrestling for a couple of years but has mostly been working in other avenues of the entertainment industry including scriptwriting.
