Samoa Joe Taking Time Off From AEW For Hollywood Project

Samoa Joe is taking a break from AEW for the next few months as he returns to Hollywood, as he noted on this week’s AEW Dynamite. Joe appeared in a segment with the rest of The Opps on Wednesday night’s show. The segment took place during the Collision-branded third hour.

Joe told Katsuyori Shibata, HOOK & Anthony Bowens that he would be stepping away for a few months, noting that “Hollywood came calling.” He told the trio that HOOK would oversee the group and embraced him before leaving. You can see the clip of the segment below.

There is no word as of yet on what Joe will be doing in Hollywood. He appears as Sweet Tooth in Peacock’s Twisted Metal series, which will return for a third season next year. There’s been no word as of yet of any other projects he’s attached to.
