Season 4 of Lucha Underground Not Looking Good

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the El Rey Network wants a 4th season of Lucha Underground, but no one has stepped up to finance the new season. Season one reportedly lost a lot of money, but they were able to get one of the owners to put up money for two more seasons so they could reach 100 episodes in hopes of scoring syndication deals. The content currently airing was taped 15 months ago, and due to how the contracts work, nobody has been paid since then but are locked into the contracts. This has caused issues for many of the performers, because WWE & ROH won’t touch anyone in fear on contract tampering. GFW has been able to get come of the talent to use, but if there is no season 4, a lot of talent will be available as free agents.
