The Blade Returns To Pro Wrestling

The wrestler known as The Blade has had a lengthy career in pro wrestling. He started off in the HWA in 2000 where he trained with the likes of Jon Moxley, and made appearances in WWE before catching on with Impact Wrestling in 2015 as Braxton Sutter. After leaving TNA, he began teaming with The Butcher and made his way to AEW alongside Butcher and his wife, The Bunny.
Blade is still listed on AEW’s roster, but he last appeared on AEW television in 2024. He had spinal fusion surgery in September 2024 and has been working his way back towards competition.
Blade and his longtime tag team partner, The Butcher, are Buffalo natives. Butcher was competing at Blissmas ’25, a show featuring wrestling and multiple bands in the Buffalo area. This provided the perfect opportunity for The Blade to make his in-ring return.

Whether or not this is a one-off appearance or if The Blade will be returning to AEW soon remains to be seen. As the videos show, he appears to be in condition for a return to prominence.
