The Opps Retain Trios Titles On AEW Dynamite, Aided By Hangman Page After Match

The Opps are still your AEW World Trios Champions, defeating LFI on AEW Dynamite before getting an assist from Hangman Page during a post-match attack. Wednesday’s episode saw Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata defeat RUSH, The Beast Mortos, & Dralistico to hold onto their titles in that was billed as the main event of AEW Dynamite before switching over to an hour of AEW Collision. The match ended with Joe making Dralistico tap to the Coquina Clutch.

Following the match, LFI attacked The Opps from behind. Hangman Page came from commentary, where he was observing the bout, and helped the babyfaces fight off LFI. Page is set to defend his AEW World Championship against Joe at WrestleDream on Saturday.

Page and Joe came face to face and stared off after the dust cleared. Joe then handed the AEW World Championship to Page and made his way out of the ring. You can see highlights from the match and the chaos that followed it below.

AEW WrestleDream takes place on Saturday from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri and airs live on PPV and HBO Max. 411 will have live coverage of the show.
