Thea Hail & Joe Hendry To Compete For AAA Mixed Tag Titles At NXT Gold Rush

Thea Hail and Joe Hendry are teaming up and will challenge Chelsea Green and Ethan Page for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships at NXT Gold Rush. Tuesday’s episode of NXT saw Page and Green in the main event segment, hosting a celebration of their Mixed Tag Team Title win at AAA Alianzas.

However, the segment was thrown awry when Joe Hendry’s name was mentioned by Alba Fyre. Green and Page expected him to emerge from the giant cake in the ring, but he came out from the back. Hendry said he wanted a shot at their titles and would be teaming with Hail. Hail then popped out of the cake and the bawl was on. Page and Green ended up getting cake in their face as a result.

In a post-show backstage segment, Page and Green threw a fit and Green said she’d never been creamed like that before.

NXT Gold Rush is a two-week event taking place on November 18th and 25th. It will be hosted at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

It’s not yet clear which episode the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship Match will take place on.
