Hangman Page had a scary moment during his match with Samoa Joe at AEW WrestleDream, and a new report has a small update on his status. Page retained his AEW World Championship on last night’s PPV against Samoa Joe. At one point, Joe hit Page with a German suplex where Page landed on his head. Page got up slowly and then missed a moonsault spot that was supposed to be a hit.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Sunday morning’s Wrestling Observer Radio that Page appears to be okay. Alvarez reports that World Champion told people backstage that he was “totally fine.”
Page eventually pinned Joe following a series of Buckshot Lariats to retain his title. After the match, The Opps turned on Page and beat him down before Joe hit him in the face with the World Title.
Page’s title reign stands at 99 days, having won the title from Jon Moxley at AEW All In: Texas.
