WWE Writers Reportedly ‘Thrown For A Loop’ By The Rock Storyline Last Week

As previously reported, The Rock showed up on last Friday’s WWE Smackdown and told Cody Rhodes that he wanted him to be ‘his’ WWE Champion and that he wanted Cody’s soul. It was noted that his appearance came together the day before and plans for the episode were shifted as a result.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE writers were “confused” and “thrown for a loop” by what happened.
A source added: “The six man (on Smackdown) had to change. This was not as last minute as some are trying to say it was, but it did happen rather quickly.”
Rock is set to appear at Elimination Chamber tomorrow night to get an answer from Rhodes.
