Jack Swagger vs. Primo
Swagger takes Primo down with a go behind, and then grabs a chickenwing. Primo elbows out, but Swagger takes him right back over with a counter into another chickenwing. Primo kicks off this time, and then sweeps the leg. Primo grabs an armbar, but gets pushed into the corner and takes a knee. Swagger whips Primo into the corner, but gets hit with a headscissor takedown. Swagger ends up catching Primo’s legs and delivering a throw, and follows up with a hard Irish Whip to the corner. Vader Bomb by Swagger connects, and that is followed by a series of push ups. Swagger grabs a reverse bearhug on the mat, and then goes for a backdrop which is blocked by Primo with a kick. Swagger comes right back with an abdominal stretch, and when Primo attempts to counter into one of his own he gets dumped to the floor as we head to break. Back from commercial with Swagger delivering a backdrop, and then grabbing a double arm chickenwing. Primo comes back with a sunset flip for one, but Swagger goes right back on offense countering into a slingshot sending Primo face first to the buckle. Another Vader Bomb from Swagger this time misses, and that allows Primo to come in with a springboard knife edge. Primo hits a back elbow off the ropes, and a dropkick. Crossbody from Primo gets a two count, and that is followed by a Side Russian Legsweep for another two. Swagger is back with a belly to belly suplex, and that sets up a Gutwrench Powerbomb attempt. Primo counters into a rollup for two, but gets caught following Swagger to the corner and gets a series of rights. Primo catches a charging Swagger with a double boot, but a springboard off the top misses and Primo injures his knee. Swagger delivers a clothesline from behind, and follows up with the Gutwrench Powerbomb to finish things at 12:03. Pretty good match, although almost entirely dominated by Swagger. Afterward Swagger lets us know that he is born to be US Champion, and lets Kofi he is the only challenger he needs to worry about.
Winner: Jack Swagger (Pinfall-Gutwrench Powerbomb **1/2)

-More “Ask the Divas” crap that I refuse to pay any attention to.

The Hurricane vs. Paul Burchill (w. Katie Lea Burchill)
I see they changed the graphic beneath the titantron to read just “The Hurricane” rather than “Hurricane Helms” which kind of ruined the joke. Hurricane hits a snap mare, and then grabs a side headlock. Burchill hits the ropes delivering a shoulderblock, but Hurricane comes back to scoop the legs and deliver a stomp. Burchill is back with a pair of European uppercuts, but gets a clothesline from Hurricane sending him over the top to the floor. Hurricane tries to crossbody him from over the top rope, but misses allowing Burchill to gain control. Back inside Burchill grabs a chinlock, and then delivers a swinging neckbreaker for one. Burchill grabs a modified cobra clutch, but an attempt to send Hurricane into the top buckle is blocked. Lou Thesz Press by Hurricane connects, and that is followed by what I’d call a reverse X-Factor. Superman style European upper-cut connects by Hurricane, but Burchill comes back with a Pele for two. Suplex attempt by Burchill is countered into a modified backbreaker by Hurricane. Top rope flying crossbody by Hurricane gets a two count, and signals for the shining wizard, but Burchill bails to the floor. Hurricane follows him out and rams him into the apron. Hurricane attempts to suplex Burchill back inside, but Katie Lea grabs the foot stopping that movie. Burchill takes advantage of the distraction to drop Hurricane across the top rope, and then back inside rolls up Hurricane with a schoolboy for the win at 4:50. Not as good as last weeks match on ECW due to time constraints, but I’m still liking this feud.
Winner: Paul Burchill (Pinfall-Rollup **)

Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Mike Knox vs. Finlay
This is billed as a #1 contender’s match for Rey Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship at Breaking Point, but I’m going to guess based on recent events that tonight’s winner gets that match Next Friday instead. Dolph calls Rey’s Summerslam win a fluke, and then says he will win the title at Breaking Point. Or his name isn’t Dolph Ziggler. Finlay tells the heels to bring it on, but bails to the floor. Ziggler is stupid enough to follow and gets a shot, before Knox takes control and fires Finlay back inside. Avalanche in the corner by Knox connects, and that is followed by a running powerslam. Dolph makes the save at two, and gets whipped into the corner by Knox for his trouble. Avalanche connects to Ziggler, but here comes Finlay with a clothesline sending Knox over the top to the floor. Finlay fires Knox into the ringpost, and then catches Dolph in the ring apron and delivers his signature forearms. Knox knocks Finlay out of the way and delivers a few of his own before firing Dolph back inside. Finlay tries to sneak a cover, but its broken up by Knox who is now firmly in control delivering boots to both men. Finally Ziggler hits a dropkick sending Knox to the floor, but walks into a pair of European Uppercuts from Finlay. Finlay hits a clothesline for two, and then a kneedrop gets another near-fall. Finlay puts Ziggler on the top rope, and goes up with him delivering a headbutt. Knox comes in and catches Finlay with the Electric Chair, and that allows Ziggler to attempt a top rope legdrop which misses as we head to break. Back from commercial with Dolph being dominated by Knox. Finlay slides inside, but gets met by Knox with a boot and then kicked right back to the floor. Ziggler tries to attack with a low dropkick, but when a DDT attempt is blocked Finlay gives the assist. They fight over who gets the cover with Finlay finally dumping Ziggler to the floor. Seated splash by Finlay gets two, and that is followed by a kick to the back of the head. Pair of elbow drops from Finlay gets a two count, and he delivers a baseball slide to Ziggler to keep him on the floor. Finlay slides outside, and drives Dolph into the apron, but now Knox is out and he drives Finlay to the apron. Knox turns his attention back to Dolph, and after withstanding a few right hands he shoves Ziggler into the apron. Ziggler gets fired back inside, but Finlay delivers a baseball slide to Knox. Finlay and Ziggler collide, and Knox comes back in with a crossbody to both guys. Knox covers Finlay for two when Ziggler breaks it up. Knox get knocked away, and that allows Finlay to hit a Rolling Hills for two. Ziggler is back whipping Finlay to the corner, but a splash attempt misses. Finlay grabs an armbar, but it is broke up by Knox who then delivers a double arm suplex to Ziggler. Knox charges at Finlay and gets stopped with a double boot for two. Knox rolls to the corner, and gets a hold of the shillelagh and attempts a shot with it. Finlay ducks that shot, and is able to deliver the Celtic Cross. Ziggler breaks up the cover, and sends Finlay crashing into the ringpost. That allows Ziggler to sneak in and get the fall at 13:29 to set up an Intercontinental Title Match at Breaking Point Next Friday’s Smackdown. Ziggler apparantley is going to be wearing Curt Hennig’s hair from Summerslam ’91 for now. Really good main event.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler (Pins Knox-Celtic Cross ***)

-Really solid Superstars this week. Nothing mind blowing, but a solid effort nonetheless.
