Lexis King Says He Feels Valued As Part Of The WWE NXT Roster
In an interview with Busted Open Radio (via Fightful), Lexis King spoke about his time in WWE NXT so far and how he feels about being a part of that roster. He briefly compared his time in NXT to his time in AEW.
He said: “It’s night and day, you know what I mean? I’m not gonna talk too much about Brian Pillman Jr. and the trials and tribulations that he dealt with at AEW, but here at NXT, I mean, shoot, the King’s got it all. I got the respect of the locker room, I got a spot on the show, I’m valued for what I bring to the table, my ability inside the ring, outside the ring. It’s day and night here. There’s a direction for me. I got my eye on the prize, you know what I mean? That’s not anybody’s fault but my own. We saw what happened in Jacksonville, when Pillman Jr.’s eye wasn’t on the ball. I was a shadow of who I am now. I was a nobody because I wasn’t focused on the prize, but here at NXT, we’ve got the Performance Center. I’ve got a place to train. I got young guys and girls looking up to me, who depend on me to go out there and perform and be The King and set an example. So I don’t have time for all this going out and this partying and this DJing bullshit. I come into this gym and I work out in front of these professional coaches, and we get the ball rolling to become the best version of ourselves.“
