Dominik Mysterio is out of action, as he was not cleared to compete on WWE Raw after his match at AAA Rey de Reyes. As noted, Mysterio defended his AAA Mega Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo at Saturday’s AAA Lucha Libre event. The match ended when Mysterio nailed Vikingo with a chair before hitting a frog splash for the victory.
It was noted by commentary on Monday night’s episode of Raw that Mysterio was not cleared to compete on the show after his match with Vikingo at Rey de Reyes. Adam Pearce reiterated the point, telling JD McDonagh that Mysterio was not cleared to wrestle.
There’s no word as of yet on when Mysterio may return to the ring, nor the nature or severity of his potential injury. Because of Mysterio’s win, Vikingo cannot challenge for the AAA Mega Championship as long as Dom holds the title. The match aired on this past weekend’s first week of Rey de Reyes coverage via AAA on FOX.
Dominik Mysterio lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Penta on the March 2nd episode of Raw.
