Mick Foley is doing voiceover for the upcoming documentary on deathmatches from the Philippou Brothers and A24. As reported, Danny and Michael Philippou are working on a documentary on deathmatch wrestling for the independent film company. Foley posted to his Instagram account to share a pic of himself doing work for the film.
Foley wrote:
“DEATHMATCH DOC! Doing voiceovers for upcoming @a24 documentary #Deathmatch — I’ll do my best to be at the premiere! @michael_philippou @therackaracka”
The Philippou brothers are best known for their horror films Talk to Me and Bring Her Back. Before Talk to Me, they gained fame on YouTube as RackaRacka.
The two filmed an Exploding Barbed Wire Match GCW and Lucha Libre Vanguardia’s Deathmatch Mexican Rush in September of 2025 for the film. Michael Phillppou took to the ring and teamed with Rina Yamashita against Ciclope & Miedo Extremo.
They previously said that they were hoping for an early 2026 release for the documentary. There has not yet been a confirmed release date for the documentary, nor a confirmed name at this time.
It’s unclear as to the extent that Foley is involved, i.e. whether he is narrating the whole film or just doing voiceover for a portion of it.
