John Cena Hypes ‘Defining Moment’ for Tonight’s WWE Backlash

John Cena has a huge announcement scheduled for tonight’s WWE Backlash Tampa 2026, and he continued the hype for that announcement earlier today via social media. Whatever it is, Cena promised that he will deliver anotther defining moment for WWE later tonight.

The former 17-time WWE World Champion wrote, “My time in @WWE has been filled with defining moments. We’re hours away from what will certainly be another. C U Tonight at #WWEBacklash!”

WWE Backlash Tampa 2026, featuring an announcement from John Cena, takes place later tonight at the Benchmark International Arena. The event will air live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally. The first hour will also be simulcast on ESPN2.

The main card kicks off at 6:00 pm ET. Additionally, 411mania will have complete live coverage of tonight’s WWE premium live event.
