Alistair Overeem Survives Explosion At Albuquerque Hotel

The Albuquerque Journal reports that Alistair Overeem was one of several survivors at a huge hotel explosion in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The explosion happened at a Residence Inn, where Overeem was evacuated. He was taking a nap during the afternoon when an explosion at a storage building next door woke him up.

He said: “I heard a big boom. I thought it was nothing going on, but one of my teammates came and got me ‘we need to get out of here now.’ There was a huge black cloud. It was a little hectic, but I think the situation is under control now.”
