Henry Cavill Wants Braniac in Man of Steel 2

Henry Cavill says that he wants to see Braniac as the villain in Man of Steel 2. While promoting Misson: Impossible – Fallout, Cavill was asked about who he would like to see take the role of the main bad guy in the (as-yet-unannounced) sequel to Man of Steel and named the alien cyborg/android.

“I think a great villain would be Brainiac,” Cavill told Fandom. “That’d be a good villain to play against…Brainiac’s a big threat. There’s a lot of fun. There’s a lot to him, there’s a lot of storylines to him.”

When asked if he could see himself playing an evil version of Superman a la Christopher Reeve in Superman 3, he said, “I would be very keen for the opportunity to play classic comic Supes before playing evil…in the comic books, there’s a lot of really, really good stories about Supes being the classic hero, a real beacon of hope and the shining light for everyone to aspire towards. It’d be a lot of fun to play that version of Supes.”
