AEW just concluded its annual Worlds End PPV from Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Following that, two major matches and a segment have been made official for AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash.

AEW will present Dynamite: New Year’s Smash this Wednesday (December 31) from Omaha, NE, and newly crowned World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) will be in the house to address his title victory at Worlds End. The Long Island native pinned Samoa Joe in the four-way match moments ago to capture the AEW World Title for the second time in his career.

Following his victory, the commentators confirmed on air that we will hear from MJF this Wednesday.

Also at Dynamite: New Year’s Smash, AEW National Champion Ricochet will defend his title against Jack Perry. The match came into being after Jungle Boy pinned Ricochet during an eight-man tag team match at Worlds End Zero Hour. Perry subsequently challenged the high-flyer for the title, and the match was later made official by AEW on social media.

Similarly, the AEW TBS Championship will be on the line this Wednesday after Willow Nightingale pinned Mercedes Mone to retain the Women’s Tag Team Title for the Babes of Wrath at tonight’s event. Mone was extremely frustrated after the defeat, as she shouted and threw away stuff in her locker room before promising to beat Willow’s a** this Wednesday.

Lineup for Dynamite New Year’s Smash:

* National Championship: Ricochet (c) vs. Jack Perry
* TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Willow Nightingale
* We’ll hear from newly crowned World Champion MJF
