AEW presented its annual Revolution pay-per-view from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. The show featured the returns of Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and Will Ospreay, and a shocking appearance from UFC veteran and former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey.
In this week’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), Dave Meltzer claimed that AEW Revolution 2026 was the biggest non-All In AEW PPV since the 2024 iteration of the event that featured Sting’s retirement match. While he didn’t provide a number for the PPV buys, he claimed that it’s up 27 percent from the last two shows, i.e., Full Gear and Worlds End, and that the numbers both in the US and overseas were up significantly from any shows since All In: Texas.
The report noted that Google searches were up 60 percent from the last two PPVs and 23.5 percent up from All In, making it the highest day for the company since All In 2023. However, he admitted that the increase in Google searches was likely due to Ronda Rousey appearing at the event, as six of the top ten searches related to AEW involved the UFC veteran. While MJF vs. Hangman Page was at 16, no other talent, apart from Mistico (separate searches at No. 33 and 43), could break into the top 50.
Overall, the show drew 12,590 fans and $1.1 million. The report added that the company initially turned away customers vying for tickets on the morning of the show but eventually opened up the seats. However, it couldn’t sell out all the open seats.
Regarding the issues faced by fans in watching the pre-show on HBO Max, Meltzer reported that the problem was limited to Apple TV viewers. Despite this, HBO MAX was still able to set its record, both domestically and internationally, with the numbers being around 140,000.
