Details on AEW’s Plans for Mick Foley Following Recent Debut

Hardcore legend Mick Foley is reportedly expected to feature heavily on AEW programming moving forward. Foley made his AEW debut last weekend, when he appeared at the “Buy In” portion of the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
Foley co-hosted the pre-show, during which he had a segment with Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) and then-AEW World Champion Darby Allin. Following that, Tony Khan announced on social media that Mick Foley is officially “All Elite.” In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), Dave Meltzer claimed that Foley is expected to appear on almost all AEW PPVs and other shows in some form. This is in line with what Fightful Select reported earlier this week.
On the prospect of Foley performing in-ring duties, Meltzer was unsure if it would happen. He revealed that Foley did start training for one final match not that long ago, but he had to eventually put a halt to it due to concussion issues.
At the Double or Nothing Media Call, AEW President Tony Khan said that although he’d love to see Mick Foley wrestle, he doesn’t want to put the veteran into a tricky situation.
Following his debut at Double or Nothing, Foley took to social media and stated that he is “genuinely happy” to be a part of AEW. You can read more about that HERE. You can relive Foley’s segment from Double or Nothing below:
