Drilla Moloney is sticking with NJPW as he announced he’s re-signed, and a new report has some details on the matter. As reported, Moloney’s contract was set to expire and he had been interested in exploring his options. That interest is done, as he announced at The New Beginning In Osaka that5 he is staying with the company and has signed a new deal.
Fightful Select reports that Moloney had interest from American companies, but ultimately gave a polite decline in order to re-sign with NJPW.
The deal is reported to have been finalized in the last week and is described by sources as very favorable for the Unbound Co. stable member. The deal is said to be a one-year contract, which will (obviously) take Moloney into early February 2027.
Moloney teamed with his War Dragons partner Shingo Takagi to defeat The United Empire’s Great-O-Khan & HENARE on Wednesday morning’s show. While Moloney is sticking around, David Finlay and Hiromu Takahashi worked their final matches at the show. Finley reportedly has interest in WWE.
Moloney is a two-time former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion with Clark Connors. Connors, who has appeared on AEW TV as of late, is expected to sign with AEW.
