– During a recent interview with Insight with Chris Van Vliet, wrestler Eric Young discussed his time in the stable Sanity and how their move to the main roster didn’t go as he hoped. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):

Eric Young on Sanity: “NXT was … I never wanted to leave I loved it, I loved the whole thing. Our debut was supposed to happen on SmackDown. We were supposed to do this thing with New Day on ‘SmackDown.'”

On WWE cutting an angle with Sanity and The New Day: “We’re literally standing in front of the curtain, we’re waiting for them to count us down and say, go, and they’re like ‘No, we’re cutting,’ and it’s heartbreaking. It was kind of the end before it even got started, you know? I don’t really know what happened.”

On Vince McMahon not getting the group: “We all know who that is, not allowed to say the name … [He] just kinda didn’t like it, kinda didn’t get it, although it was his choice to bring us up in the first place.”

On what happened to the group after that: “He was very complimentary, ‘Thank you for bringing this in, thank you for showing initiative.’ And then they sent Damo and Wolff back to NXT, and I got sent over to Raw and it got worse. I mean, I didn’t do anything. I didn’t make him mad, I didn’t have a bad match, I didn’t –- there’s nothing I did, he just decided that I wasn’t no good at whatever it was that I was doing.”
