IYO SKY is hopeful that Asuka won’t get involved in her match at Wrestlepalooza. SKY will battle Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at Saturday’s show, and she spoke with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview ahead of the match. You can see some highlights below:
On her recent tensions with Asuka: “So yeah, I understand Asuka’s personality. She really wants me to become a champion, which totally makes sense, because we are always talking about becoming a champion again. We have to become champions again. So that is super exciting, but I told her I can do it by myself. Also, we’ve known each other for a long time. We have a long history, and I understand her personality. I think she won’t come tomorrow. I hope so. I trust her, and she trusts me, I think so.”
On if she’s named her ‘pointing at self’ taunt: “No [there’s no name.] That’s a good question. Yeah, I’m just pointing at myself, but you can make something. I’m so happy because I’m pointing at myself. I’m so happy, and behind me, like the crowd does it with me. That makes me so happy.”
