Jade Cargill Welcomes Pressure, Recalls Facing Cody Rhodes in Her First Match

– During this week’s Raw Recap show, WWE Superstar Jade Cargill discussed the pressure of facing Asuka in the finals of the Queen of the Ring this weekend at WWE Night of Champions. She’s used to such pressure, as she faced Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet, teaming with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, in her in-ring debut. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):

Jade Cargill on welcoming pressure: “I welcome it. I love it. I’ve dealt with pressure my entire life playing sports. I’m the one that wants to hit the game winner, you know? I started my first match on national TV with Cody Rhodes. You know, I’m used to the pressure, it’s all about how you deliver, it’s by breathing, it’s about delivering.”

Her thoughts on WWE’s locker room: “But also, again, we have a stellar locker room, you know, and everybody wants everyone to elevate and get better. And I’m not going to just show up, I’m going to show up and show out.”

Jade Cargill made her in-ring debut with Shaq on the March 3, 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite. They defeated the team of Red Velvet and Cody Rhodes in a mixed tag team bout.

Jade Cargill faces Asuka in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. The bout is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at WWE Night of Champions 2025. The premium live event will be held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The show will air live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
