Jey Uso isn’t done in his quest to be a top singles star in WWE, saying on the latest Raw Recap that he’s “going nowhere.” Uso has shown a new attitude in recent weeks, and it paid off with a match against CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Title. The two will battle at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the vacant title, and Uso spoke on Raw Recap about his singles run and more.

Saturday Night’s Main Event takes place on November 1st from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The show airs live on Peacock. You can see the highlights from Uso’s comments below:

On When He Felt Like He Changed:

“I mean, nothing really changed on me Uce. I still have fun. I still throw a party every Monday. I still like the kids man, I still Yeet with ’em. It’s just — when the bell rings Uce, I just gotta switch modes now, man. If I’m trying to get back to the top, I got big hitters in front of me. I got guys like CM Punk, guys like Gunther. Guys like the Seth Rollins — get well, Uce. But like, I got a heavy list in front of me, and I just can’t play no more.

“I’m tired of like, people saying I’m just an entrance or whatever, like I ain’t got skills to hold it down up top. So just switched modes, Uce. I mean, it might be going back to the old ways thinking, you know, Bloodline ways. But man, that kind of mentality got the job done.”

On the Era Where He Broke Out and Went Solo:

“Man, I like that era. That’s where the Main Event character was born from. You know, take no prisoners, I was right hand man for a reason. I do got that dog in me, man. If needed to be come out, I let it out. I just felt like how you said Uce, everything that you named off. Winning the Heavyweight World Championship, going out on my own, succeeding. Being a top guy, being a big hitter on Monday Night Raw. Man, I still feel like I ain’t got my flowers. I still feel like I’m still trying to prove myself.”

“I’m tired of everybody talking down on my name, man. I I go hard every single week, man. Every week you see it what I bring to the table, man. And I still feel like I’m still getting looked over. It was still getting disrespected, man. And that’s just gonna stop. Don’t let these bright colors, don’t let it fool you. Because I get down man. Seeing Punk asking me how far I’m gonna go, what I’m willing to do? Come on, man. Y’all seen my story. I’ll run through my own family to to to get to the top too now. Because I understand what it takes. So I’m just out for respect now.”

On Staying In the Singles Space:

“I ain’t going nowhere, man. Like, I wanna fight Gunther again. Gunther made me better man. The Seth Rollinses made me better. The Drew McIntyres has made me better, Uce. Coming to raw by myself, I was going toe to toe with them every week. So they taught me the game on what it’s like to stand on your own two feet. So, man I belong here, you know what I’m saying? It took me a minute to even believe that myself, man. But I belong here and then no one’s gonna knock me off the top man.”
