Keep Refreshing For The Latest Results

Happy Fantastic Friday my friends! Lee Sanders is back with you all for another edition of AEW Rampage! I hope you have all been well as winter weather is here on the east coast. Some nice and pleasant warm temperatures in some parts for the next few days. And the best part about the weather? No rain in sight! This week, the AEW Rampage card sees the following going down as advertised:

-Mark Briscoe vs. The Butcher
-Anna Jay vs. Trish Adora
-Kyle O’Reilly will be in action
-Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) vs. MxM Collection (Mason Madden & Mansoor)

Before I go any further, as some of you know who check out my podcasts, I am majoring in Media Production and Journalism. I am seeking a career as a news reporter and radio personality/producer. I had an opportunity to create, direct, and produce an original segment with professional studio lights, stage props, and all. Show it some love as it is posted below!

Let’s talk Rampage! THIS IS RAMPAGE BABY!

Venue: SAP Center
City: San Jose, CA
Commentators: Excalibur, Matt Menard, Tony Schiavone

MATCH 1: Mark Briscoe vs The Butcher

Butcher! Man, I love this guy! A test of strength to begin this one as it quickly turns into a lockup. Stalemate for both men as another lockup occurs. Action heads into the corner where Mark is able to get off some strikes. Briscoe hits some redneck kung-fu before throwing his body into Butcher on the outside. Briscoe crushed him hard against the barricades! Back inside the ring, Briscoe hits a dropkick followed by a snap mare. Nice and aggressive showing from Briscoe in this opening contest. Briscoe tries for the J-driller but Butcher counters and ends up hitting a lariat for a near fall. Butcher has turned it around as he is landing right-handed heavy chops! Briscoe tries coming back with chops of his own. Butcher hits a vertical suplex as we head into our first set of commercials. We are back as Butcher has Briscoe in a headlock as Briscoe fights out. A swing and miss by Butcher as Briscoe hits an enziguri. Flying forearms up Butcher ends up getting a boot up to the face. Briscoe hits a Death Valley driver before climbing to the top. No one is home as Butcher hits a half Nelson and a jackhammer as Briscoe kicks out! Butcher is hammering away now as he has Briscoe on the top rope. Briscoe hits a series of karate chops to the neck as it sends Butcher crashing. Briscoe hits the froggie splash for the win!

Winner: Mark Briscoe (10 minutes)
Rating:**
Good stuff to open up this episode.

MATCH 2: Kylie O’Reilly vs Mark Briscoe vs Aaron Solo

Nice to see Solo back as we have not seen him on AEW programming in a while. Reilly hits a lockup around the waist before transitioning to a takedown. Solo counters and slaps Reilly in the face. Reilly escapes a leg capture as he hits a few palm strikes and kicks. Solo with a blow to the midsection as Reilly kicks him in the midsection. Reilly compresses the arm as he drives his knee into the arm and back, followed by a knee strike. Reilly comes in with more knee strikes before Solo sends him shoulder-first into the canvas. Solo follows it up with a flurry of strikes before hitting an exploder for a one count. Reilly hits a running knee to to midsection followed by strikes to the body, face, and a leg sweep! A running elbow strike follows before Solo hits a corkscrew. Reilly coming back with a kicking/strike combo before hitting a guillotine submission hold for the win!

Winner: Kylie O’Reilly (4 minutes)
Rating:**
Wish this match could’ve gone longer. Some good stuff between both men.

Post-match, Reilly calls out Okada for a match at Battle of the Belts happening this Saturday at 10 pm ET. Meanwhile, Jamie Hayter talks about being in the mood to fight as she will be appearing on AEW Collision this weekend. Hayter welcomes all challengers as she tells Rene Paquette she is back in AEW for two reasons. The first reason is that she wants to make things right for her career in AEW this go-round. Second, she wants to be the AEW Women’s Champion again. She is tired of Penelope Ford being in her way and she looks to extinguish her as soon as possible. Keep in mind Penelope Ford returned this past week as well. Also, a friendly reminder, AEW FULL GEAR happens November 23rd.

Elsewhere, Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie are back in another dim light in the dark room segment. She talks about how if you want to hurt somebody to not do it directly. Instead, it is about hurting someone by attacking what they love most. Whatever as this is the most generic promo I have ever heard. Hey, next match!

MATCH 3: Anna Jay vs Trish Adora

I love me some Adora! She is right here from Washington, D.C. This should be a fun match! Trish with a lockup and headlock takedown while rubbing her behind on Anna’s back. Anna is able to break as both women come back to a vertical base. Anna hits a snapmare as Mariah May is nailing it on commentary trolling both women. Hip toss blocked as Anna comes in with a pretty sidekick followed by a dropkick. We are back from another set of commercials. Speaking of commercials, I am so glad the NBA ON TNT is coming back! I missed Shaq, Kenny, Ernie, and Chuck! Always a good time when those guys are on my tv. Back to the in-ring action. Anna hits a flipping neckbreaker before going for the cover. It is a two-count as Trish hits a German suplex after Anna swings and misses with a kick. Trish hits a clothesline before hitting a suplex with a bridge pin attempt. It is another kick out as Trish misses a strike as Anna hits the widows peak for the victory!

Winner: Anna Jay (9 minutes)
Rating:**
Solid action and effort from both women. I need to see more Adora.

Post-match Harley hypes up their upcoming match at Battle of the Belts for her AEW Women’s Championship. Meanwhile, Harley Cameron is with Rene Paquette as Saraya’s whereabouts remain unknown. She is previewing her AEW Collision match against Kris Statlander. Harley is versatile apparently as the way she emphasized it suggests she can go either way apparently. I am not overreacting on that one folks as you have to watch the segment for yourself. Next Friday, STP, Undisputed Kingdom, and Gates of Agony will lock up in a triple threat tag match. I love the buildup for next Friday’s episode.

MATCH 4: Private Party vs MXM Collection

This is going to be a fun main event! This MXM Collection is growing on me big time! Big fan of their work so far in AEW. Quen and Mansoor start off our main event. Soon Kassidy and Madden are tagged before Mansoor tags himself back into the ring. Arm drag by Kassidy as he and Quen go for some double-team action on both men. Quen is sent crashing to the floor by Mansoor before he is tossed back into the ring. Quen kicks out of a pin attempt by Madden as we head into our final set of commercials.
Our main event battle continues as Quen is fighting Mansoor but it is too much. Madden is tagged as a neckbreaker/powerbomb combo and is applied for a near fall. Mansoor is tagged as he gets Quen in a full nelson. Quen hits a rollup as Mansoor breaks free and tags Kassidy! Kassidy hits repeated shots at Mansoor. Kassidy kicks Madden in the midsection before hitting a spinning flatliner on Madden. Kassidy hits a flying crossbody on Mansoor for another near fall. Mansoor avoids the silly string as he hits a Death Valley driver! Quen saves the match by breaking up the pinfall attempt. MXM hit a chokeslam on Kassidy who kicks out! Kassidy with strikes and chops as Private Party hits silly string on Madden. In comes Mansoor as Kassidy hits the flying cutter! Kassidy hits a rolling carry as Quen hits a 450 splash! Kassidy follows up with a back-flying senton for the win!

Winner: Private Party (11 minutes)
Rating:**
