Kairi Sane Comments on Her WWE Exit, Asuka Says She Will Never Leave Sane Feeling Alone

As previously reported, a number of WWE Superstars were released from the roster this week, including former NXT Women’s Champion and former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Kairi Sane. Kairi shared a message on her X account earlier today, reacting to the news.

Kairi wrote, “I’m truly grateful to have people like you by my side. Thank you for always being with me. I’ll set sail… in my own time ⛵️ Until then…
I love you ❤️” Asuka later wrote in response, “No matter what, I’ll always be in your corner, Kairi. I’ll never leave you feeling alone. 🤡”

Additionally, Kairi’s former Damage CTRL stablemate, Charlie (formerly Dakota Kai), also chimed in with her support for Kairi, writing, “Love you so much 🥹 you’re so special to so many people.”

Kairi Sane and Asuka held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on three separate occasions as The Kabuki Warriors, first winning the belts back in 2019. They won the belts two more times in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

Sane was still part of a major ongoing storyline at the time of her exit, and she worked last Monday’s post-WrestleMania 42 edition of WWE Raw. She and Asuka lost a tag team bout with RHIYO (Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky). After their loss, Asuka was seen yelling at a downed Kairi, which looks to be Kairi’s final WWE appearance.
