Backstage Note On WWE View Of Karrion Kross Situation

Karrion Kross and his wife, Scarlett, have both reportedly departed WWE in a move that has left many fans surprised and confused because it all seemed to happen so suddenly. Kross has not wasted time talking about his frustrations about his time in WWE and both have been moved to WWE’s Alumni section.

Dave Meltzer discussed the situation on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that the belief within WWE is that Kross will return, but added that it’s a “weird one.” Highlights of his comments are below (h/t WrestlingInc).

On how the Kross situation is a weird one: “It’s definitely being kept quiet. It’s a weird one. The nature of the talk makes me think there’s more to it. What’s he saying, that they gave him an insulting offer? I mean, they gave him an offer and he didn’t sign, as of this week. He may be a free agent.”

On the belief within WWE that he will be back: “The belief in WWE is that he’s gonna be back, but we’ll see. Are they working the boys on this, if he comes back? You could say yes, but it’s also one of those things where — it’s not like they’re being fooled. It’s not like guys are coming and going like, ‘Oh, no, he’s really gone.’ I mean, no one is saying that. They’re just like, ‘We don’t know, and whatever.'”

Kross is currently out promoting his new book. Meltzer noted that ECW Press, the book’s publisher, has been managing Kross’ book promotion.

Kross last wrestled for WWE at Summerslam where he lost to Sami Zayn.
