Mariah May Wants Yuka Sakazaki To Give Her Best At AEW Grand Slam
Mariah May is looking for the best that Yuka Sakazaki has to give when they compete at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam next week. As reported, it was announced last night that May will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Sakazaki on next week’s show from Arthur Ashe Stadium. AEW posted a video of May commenting on the match, as you can see below.
“I was always told that when you hold this, you have a big target on your back,” May said. “Yeah, I don’t work that way. When I hold this, I hold the gun. And every woman in that locker room is lined up against the wall for me to take a shot at point-blank. And Yuka, at Grand Slam it’s you.”
She continued, “It really bothers me how artificially happy you are. Firstly, I’m the only woman in that locker room who has anything to be happy about. Secondly, I know who you really are. You are five years older than me. I see through this gimmick. You call yourself the Magic Girl? Well that’s because magic is fake. I’ve seen you in Japan. They call you a bully. They call you the killer. Well, I’d like to see it. In New York, in front of the fans and in front of my darling, precious Mina, give me your very best, so I can make you feel your absolute worst. Then we’ll see how happy you really are.”
