Former AEW TNT Champion Mark Briscoe has not been seen on weekly programming for over a month.
Briscoe was last seen in action on the March 11, 2026, episode of AEW Dynamite. Amid his absence from television, a fan recently asked Mike Johnson of PWInsider about the wrestler’s whereabouts during a Q&A session.
Johnson said that Briscoe continues to remain with All Elite Wrestling and that his ongoing absence stems from him dealing with an injury and taking time off to recover. However, Johnson did get into the specifics of the injury.
Before his absence, Mark Briscoe was involved in a storyline with Tommaso Ciampa. Briscoe, who dethroned Kyle Fletcher as AEW TNT Champion at last November’s Full Gear PPV, dropped the title to Ciampa on the January 31 episode of Collision. Ciampa would eventually lose it to Fletcher ahead of Grand Slam: Australia.
On the March 7 episode of Collision, Mark inadvertently cost Ciampa his match against Daniel Garcia, leading to the recent AEW recruit attacking him and turning heel in the process.
As mentioned above, Briscoe last competed on the March 11 episode of Dynamite. He teamed up with The Young Bucks to take on current World Tag Team Champions FTR and Ciampa and ended up on the losing end of the spectrum.
411Mania wishes Mark Briscoe a speedy recovery and swift return to the ring.
