Miro Reportedly Signs Long-Term Contract Extension With AEW
– It looks like The Redeemer will be staying in AEW for the foreseeable future. According to a report by Fightful Select, former AEW TNT champion, Miro, has signed a new long-term contract extension with All Elite Wrestling. The extension is reportedly for the length of four years. The wrestler also reportedly confirmed the details on re-signing with AEW during a recent appearance on The Kurt Angle Show.
Per Fightful’s report, Miro’s extended contract is slated to keep him on the AEW roster through early 2026. Both parties reportedly agreed to the deal late last year, but it was not signed until more recently.
Additionally, Miro’s initial AEW contract was expected to expire in the spring of this year. The formerly God’s Favorite Champion made his debut in the promotion in September 2020 as “The Best Man” for Kip Sabian. The contract time frame for Miro’s initial agreement appears to be a rarity compared to other AEW talent deals.
Miro has recently been off TV dealing with a hamstring injury. His last match was against Bryan Danielson at AEW Full Gear 2021 last November. However, Fightful reports that Miro has been ready to go for an in-return “for quite a while.”
It’s unknown when the former TNT champion will make his return to AEW programming.
