Legendary Japanese pro wrestler Naomichi Marufuji wants to have a match with former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins someday.
The Visionary recently explained the origins of his finisher, The Stomp, during an interaction with Games with Names. Rollins revealed that he “stole it” from Alex Shelley, who took it from Naomichi Marufuji. Seth then went on to call the Japanese legend a god when it comes to innovating wrestling moves.
“The Stomp, I stole it. Straight up yoinked it. I stole it from Alex Shelley, who wrestles in WWE now. He stole it from a Japanese wrestler named [Naomichi] Marufuji. Marufuji is like a God when it comes to innovating wrestling moves,” Seth said.
Marufuji caught wind of Seth’s comment on X, where he expressed his desire to have a match with the multi-time WWE World Champion before he hangs up his wrestling boots.
He wrote:
“I’m glad. Someday, I want to have a match with Seth.”

Seth Rollins is currently away from WWE television due to a shoulder injury he suffered during his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel: Perth. The Visionary is aiming to return ahead of WrestleMania 42. It will be interesting to see if that happens.
