– A new report has an update om Meiko Satomura’s WWE status as she prepares for her in-ring retirement. As previously reported, Satomura announced that she would retire On April 29th, just over 30 years after her first match. Satomura has been signed to WWE and Fightful Select reports that people in NXT believe that her July 2024 match with Bayley at a live event was her “swan song” for WWE. The report does not say whether she is or is not still under contract.

Satomura is set to compete in PROGRESS at My Own Destiny on February 23rd, a booking that was described as “unsurprising” to those within the company.

– WWE NXT alumna Amale has been working regularly in RCW Spain after she was suspended by several French wrestling companies following her making allegations of abuse against Tristan Archer. Amale and Archer were both suspended until the matter is handled legally. Amale issued a statement at the time noting that she attempted to address the situation with several companies and individuals and wasn’t believed, and that suspending her was something she didn’t see as necessary as she had not worked for most of them.

Fightful Select reports that Amale is expected to continue working in Spain and that many in the French wrestling scene were pleased to see her announced for an upcoming show for KO in France.
