Tony Khan has talked about holding an event at Craven Cottage in the UK, but when it came time to announce All In, AEW went with Wembley Stadium. The gamble has so far paid off, as the show has moved 65,000 tickets. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason that AEW did not go with Craven Cottage was due to cost.
The price to hold an event in that venue is said to be “gigantic” and Wembley was actually more cost-effective. It would cost over a million just to stage the show. Since it has a capacity of over 20,000, even with a sold out event it wouldn’t bring in as much of a profit.
