Private Party’s Marq Quen Reveals the Origin of Their Velvet Rope Entrance

– During a recent interview with Talk Is Jericho, Marq Quen of Private Party discussed coming up with the team’s famous velvet rope entrance. Quen reveals that WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg inspired the entrance. He said the following on the topic (via Fightful):

“Just looking at Goldberg’s entrance. ‘Goldberg came from back there.’ I wanted to be like Goldberg, we come off a party bus and go straight to the ring. That didn’t happen. So, I was like, ‘What if we had a rope like you get at the club.’ The Bucks were like, ‘Yeah, where can we get one from?’ We went upstairs to the concourse in Jacksonville, and we took that rope. We took it on the truck. I saw it again and was like, ‘Oh, they kept it.'”

Private Party’s Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen are set to defend their recently won AEW Tag Team Titles later this month at AEW Full Gear 2024. They will defend their titles in a Fatal 4-Way bout against The Outrunners, the House of Black’s Malakai Black and Brody King, and one more team to be decided. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The card will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
