Seth Rollins once again has wrestling fans questioning the legitimacy of his injury. As previously reported, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was attacked and kicked out of The Vision on yesterday’s Monday Night Raw. It’s rumored the segment took place on yesterday’s show after Seth Rollins is rumored to have suffered a left shoulder injury after a rough landing during his title match against WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel Premium Life Event in Perth, Australia on October 11th. He was spotted wearing a sling after the show. During the Crown Jewel post-show, he noted that he may have long-term ramifications from the injury.

PWInsider Elite reports that the talk within WWE is that Rollins may need surgery on his shoulder or rotator cuff, with many backstage in the company preparing for him to have surgery. One high-level executive believed Rollins was injured, but that they did not know yet how bad the injury is.

Of course, Rollins had many in the company convinced that he was legitimately injured over the summer, but that turned out to be part of a storyline and Rollins was vocal in media appearances after about how he fooled everyone as part of the “ruse of the century.” That episode left many backstage frustrated and distrustful, resulting in some now having doubts about whether he’s really injured.

Others backstage note that WWE would not change Rollins’ storyline so abruptly if he wasn’t really injured. If his injury is legitimate, it would cancel WWE plans for upcoming Rollins vs. CM Punk and Rollins vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania matches. At the same time, it opens the door for fresh new creative involving big pushes for Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed with Paul Heyman by their side.

If Rollins is legitimately injured, it remains to be seen what will happen with the World Heavyweight Championship.

This report echoes much of what Dave Meltzer reported earlier today.

Rollins is a former WWE Universal Champion, Intercontinental Champion, United States Championship holder, WWE Championship holder, Money in the Bank contract winner, and member of The Shield with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.
