Spoiler On Match Announcement For NXT New Year’s Evil

A new match was announced for NXT New Year’s Evil during Wednesday’s WWE NXT tapings, and the spoiler is online. BodySlam.net reports that, as you probably expected, Thea Hail will defend the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Blake Monroe at the NXT special episode.

As was reported extensively on Tuesday, Hail won the Women’s North American Title from Blake Monroe on last night’s WWE NXT. The title change was not supposed to happen and was the result of apparent miscommunication in the ring. WWE had to scramble to change some creative due to the timing, as creative was already in place for Hail in a way that had her not winning the title and content had been filmed due to the holiday break.

NXT New Year’s Evil takes place on January 6th as a special episode of NXT on The CW and Netflix internationally. The card thus far is:

* NXT Championship Match: Oba Femi vs. Leon Slater
* NXT Women’s Championship Match: Jacy Jayne vs. Kendal Grey
* NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Thea Hail vs. Blake Monroe
