Fightful Select Answers Q&A provided a status update on injured AEW wrestler Adam Cole. As previously reported, Cole had to step away from the ring earlier in July after suffering a reported concussion during the July 10 edition of AEW Collision.

According to an update from Sean Ross Sapp on the Fightful Weekly Q&A Podcast, Adam Cole is nowhere near ready to return to the ring. It’s also noted that, without getting into too many details, Cole knew he’d likely face issues dealing with his latest concussion.

Sapp also notes that Tony Khan is “fiercely loyal” to the former TNT Champion. It’s unlikely that Cole is coaching or doing anything similar for AEW, as Sapp believes that traveling would hinder Cole’s recovery.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Cole suffered his concussion during a lariat spot with Kyle Fletcher during a tag team bout that also featured Cole’s Paragon teammates Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong against The Don Callis Family’s Kyle Fletcher, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta.

Outside of wrestling, Cole, who is a fervent gamer and video game streamer, recently did voice work for the video game title, Curiosity. The title is now available for Steam and Steam Deck.
