Steve Austin on John Cena’s Heel Turn: ‘Had To Happen Sooner Or Later’

Steve Austin has shared his thoughts on John Cena turning heel at WWE Elimination Chamber. Austin spoke with The Schmo for a new interview and was asked about Cena breaking bad and joining The Rock to attack Cody Rhodes at last weekend’s PPV. You can see highlights below, per PWINsider:

Steve Austin on John Cena turning heel: “Hey, it had to happen sooner or later, finally it happened. So it’ll be interesting to see, whether the people accept him as a heel, or has he turned himself more babyface? I think it remains to be seen as the story unfolds, but nonetheless, they’ve kept, they’ve kicked off in epic build and into WrestleMania, and that’s what they do every single year and this year it’s in it’s, it is here in Las Vegas.”

On if he will be at WrestleMania 41: “Hey, I haven’t been in contact with anybody, so I guess anything could happen, but I’m here to round the Mint 400, and that’s what my sights are set on. I’m not looking to Mania, I’m looking to the Mint 400. I got a brand new left knee, trying here to this is my first race back, so I’m gonna go out there and kick ass and see if I can do as well as I can.”
