Backstage Update on The Street Profits WWE Absence

The Street Profits are not injured, and their recent absence from WWE television since October is not cause for concern. According to backstage reporting, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have been given a short break as part of a creative reset.
The update comes from Dave Meltzer, who explained in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the time off is purely precautionary. There are no injuries involved. WWE made the decision “to take them off TV to allow them to freshen up.” Their disappearance from the European Tour sparked online speculation, but sources say nothing physical is holding them back.
The Street Profits have been regulars on television for years, with little downtime apart from injuries. A brief pause would prevent burnout and keep reactions strong when they return. It also allows creatives to line up a clear direction instead of forcing filler appearances.
Since debuting on the main roster in 2019, Dawkins and Ford have been among WWE’s most reliable tag teams. They have held championship gold, worked across brands, and remained popular with live crowds. Bringing the Street Profits back at the right moment could immediately freshen the tag team division. There is no confirmed return date yet.
