Titus O’Neil’s Royal Rumble Elimination Didn’t Go Off As Planned
January 26, 2015 | Posted by
– Titus O’Neil’s elimination during last night’s Royal Rumble didn’t go as planned. According to PWInsider, O’Neil was supposed to be eliminated in one second which would have tied Santino Marella’s record for fastest Rumble elimination. However, timing issues between O’Neil, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns meant that he was instead eliminated in four seconds.
O’Neil’s elimination is tied with Jerry Lawler in 1997 and Bushwacker Luke in 1991. It ranks behind Santino’s one-second elimination, Owen Hart and Sir Mo’s three-second eliminations in 1995 and The Warlord’s two-second elimination in 1989.
